This workshop co-organized by our partner PAL Robotics and our synergy PILLAR-Robots, delving into the unique challenges of manipulating both rigid and deformable objects, on March 26, 2025.
Mobile Manipulation (MoMa) is a vital technology with a key role in various strategic sectors. While it has made significant progress, it still faces challenges, including reliably handling diverse objects and ensuring stability and precision in dynamic environments. Despite these hurdles, MoMa has notably improved in terms of robustness, safety, and adaptability.
This workshop on MoMa, is co-organised alongside our synergy projects PILLAR-Robots, CORESENSE, Convince Project, IntelliMan Project, RegoProject, Sestosenso, Mozart, and HARIA. Also with the projects INVERSE (EU Project), SoftEnable. It examines the evolving field of mobile manipulation (MoMa), a pivotal domain within robotics with applications spanning healthcare, agriculture, logistics, and manufacturing. Addressing the unique challenges of manipulating both rigid and deformable objects, MoMa demands advanced mobility and manipulation capabilities, which enable its critical role in diverse, strategically essential sectors across Europe. Agimus as well as some other European projects, have presented the latest advances in the domain.
At ERF, industry leaders, SMEs, technology providers, and researchers come together to shape the future of robotics.
